When should I start brushing my child’s teeth?

Before your child begins getting teeth, bacteria will settle on the child’s gum. So wipe the baby’s gum with damp washcloth to clean the bacteria which are harmful to your child’s health. Also,

  • Clean baby’s gum after eating sweet foods such as milk or juice.
  • Use small amount of fluoride toothpaste to clean your child’s teeth. 
  • Kid’s usually like to swallow the toothpaste which is not good for health. Always monitor your kid’s while brushing. Teach them how to spit while brushing.
  • Use floss when your child’s teeth touch each other.
  • Follow a good feeding habit which avoids the teeth decay.
  • Ask them to rinse their teeth after eating sticky foods such as chocolates, cake, etc.
  • On average, children’s will lose their baby teeth around the age group of 6-7.
