Tuberculosis - When to call a doctor

Consult your doctor if you have the following symptoms:

  • Persistent cough for more than three weeks
  • Coughing up blood
  • Unexplained weight loss
  • Night sweats

If you have talked to a person infected with TB, seek medical attention immediately. Your doctor may ask about your symptoms and check your medical history before a physical examination. TB can be cured with proper treatment.
